Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, monitor their vital signs, and ensure their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and other personal hygiene tasks
2. Help residents with eating, drinking, and mobility
3. Monitor residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff
4. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
5. Document all care provided in residents' charts
6. Adhere to all facility policies and procedures
7. Maintain a clean and organized environment for residents
8. Participate in team meetings and training sessions
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active CNA certification in the state of employment
2. High school diploma or GED
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work well in a team environment
5. Compassionate and patient demeanor
6. Ability to lift and transfer residents safely
7. Basic knowledge of medical terminology
8. CPR certification (preferred)
