Job title: Long Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
The Long Term Care CNA is responsible for providing direct care to residents in a long-term care facility. This includes assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring health status, and providing emotional support to residents and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming
2. Help residents with eating and drinking
3. Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff
4. Assist with mobility and transferring residents
5. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
6. Provide emotional support to residents and their families
7. Document care provided to residents accurately
8. Follow all policies and procedures of the facility
9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to residents
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
3. Current certification as a Nursing Assistant
4. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
5. Compassionate and patient demeanor
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
7. Strong attention to detail
8. Basic computer skills
9. Ability to lift and move patients as needed
