Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a CNA, you will be responsible for providing daily living assistance and basic nursing care to residents or patients in our facility. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses to ensure the highest quality of patient care is delivered.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents or patients with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents or patients
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to the nurse in charge
- Assist with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Serve meals and help with feeding if necessary
- Provide emotional support to residents or patients
- Maintain accurate and updated documentation of patient information and care provided
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure cohesive and effective delivery of care
- Follow established protocols and procedures to maintain infection control and safety standards
- Respond to emergency situations and perform CPR or first aid when required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current and valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Competency in basic nursing skills, including taking vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and compassion towards residents or patients
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and excellent observational skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting or assisting with mobility
