Education

• High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of high school or equivalent education.
• Post-Secondary Education
  • Enroll in an accredited radiologic technology program, which typically includes:
    • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology (2 years) or
    • Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology (4 years).

Certification and Licensure

• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist

  • Obtain certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• Specialized CT Certification

  • Complete an additional certification in Computed Tomography through ARRT:
    • This often requires passing a specialized CT examination.

• State Licensure

  • Obtain licensure to practice as a radiologic technologist, if required by the state.
  • Some states may require additional licensure specifically for CT technologists.
