Job Title: Scrub Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Scrub Technologist to assist in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile environments, handling surgical instruments, and providing support to surgeons and nurses. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery by sterilizing equipment, ensuring all necessary supplies are available, and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures and anticipate their needs.
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping, draping, and closing incisions.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and equipment used.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after each procedure.
- Assist with transporting patients to and from the operating room.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) preferred.
- Previous experience as a Scrub Technologist in a surgical setting preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with ease.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
