Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to help diagnose and treat patients. You will work closely with radiologists and other medical professionals to administer radioactive drugs and analyze the images produced to provide accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients as directed by a physician.
2. Operate imaging equipment to capture images of organs and tissues in the body.
3. Analyze images to ensure proper positioning and clarity for accurate diagnosis.
4. Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
5. Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
6. Consult with medical professionals to interpret results and develop treatment plans.
7. Maintain patient records and follow all safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
2. Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
3. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
