Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide direct patient care and assistance to residents in a healthcare setting. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to help maintain the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and feeding
2. Taking vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
3. Turning and repositioning patients to prevent bedsores
4. Assisting with mobility and transfers
5. Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
6. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
7. Documenting patient care activities and observations
8. Following all healthcare protocols and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
3. Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of employment
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work well in a team environment
6. Compassion and empathy for patients
7. Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and bending
8. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
