Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and support to residents in a long-term care setting. Your primary role will be to assist residents with activities of daily living, monitor their vital signs, and provide emotional support to ensure their overall well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Assist with mobility and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries
- Follow care plans and instructions from nursing staff
- Assist with medical procedures under the supervision of a nurse
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid CNA certification in the state of employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred
- Knowledge of basic nursing practices and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered care approach
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
