Job title: Vascular Technologist
Job Summary:
The Vascular Technologist is responsible for performing non-invasive diagnostic tests to assess blood flow and circulation in patients with vascular conditions. This includes conducting ultrasound imaging, measuring blood pressures, and interpreting test results to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disorders.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform ultrasound imaging of vascular structures to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities.
2. Measure blood pressures in different areas of the body to evaluate circulation.
3. Assist physicians in diagnostic procedures and treatment planning.
4. Maintain accurate patient records and test results.
5. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and promote understanding.
6. Stay updated on new technologies and advancements in the field of vascular imaging.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in vascular technology or a related field.
2. Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) is required.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in vascular imaging.
4. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to the vascular system.
5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
