Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Summary:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. You will assist in implementing patient care plans, perform nursing procedures, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Collect and record patient information, including medical histories and symptoms
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and preventive care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and standards of practice
Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in the state of practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in basic nursing skills such as taking vital signs and administering medications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
