Job Title: Registered Nurse (Emergency Room)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will be responsible for providing immediate medical care to patients in critical situations. You will assess patients, create treatment plans, administer medications, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess patients' conditions and prioritize care based on severity of illness or injury
2. Administer medication and treatment according to physician orders
3. Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment
4. Communicate with patients and their families about diagnosis, treatment options, and follow-up care
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
6. Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records
7. Participate in emergency response teams and drills
8. Maintain a safe and clean work environment
9. Stay up-to-date on current best practices and guidelines for emergency care
10. Provide emotional support to patients and families during difficult times
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of employment
2. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
3. At least 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments
7. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
8. Ability to lift and move patients as needed
9. Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
10. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
