Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be responsible for providing basic healthcare services to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. You will assist patients with daily tasks, monitor their vital signs, and provide emotional support to ensure their overall well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and eating
2. Monitoring and recording patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
3. Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
4. Helping patients with mobility and physical therapy exercises
5. Assisting nurses with medical procedures, such as changing bandages and inserting catheters
6. Maintaining a clean and organized patient care environment
7. Reporting any changes in patients' condition to the nursing staff
8. Following all healthcare protocols and safety standards
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
3. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work well in a team environment
6. Compassion and empathy for patients
7. Physical stamina to lift and move patients as needed
8. Attention to detail and strong observational skills
