Job Title: Phlebotomist
Shift: Days (11:30 AM-8:00PM)| 40 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Marshall, MI
Job Summary:
As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood from patients for various medical tests and procedures. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely blood collection.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform venipuncture to collect blood samples from patients.
2. Label and store blood samples properly for testing.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
4. Verify patient information and prepare them for blood collection.
5. Follow strict safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
6. Communicate effectively with patients to calm their fears and answer any questions about the blood collection process.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of a phlebotomy training program.
3. Certification as a Phlebotomist preferred.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
