Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist
Shift: Days (7:00 AM-3:30PM) | 40 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Job Summary:
As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures and ensuring that the operating room is prepared and organized for each case. You will work closely with the surgical team to provide the highest quality patient care and support during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Set up and maintain sterile field in the operating room.
2. Pass instruments to surgeons during procedures.
3. Assist with patient positioning and prepping.
4. Prepare surgical equipment and supplies.
5. Handle specimens for lab analysis.
6. Maintain inventory of surgical supplies.
7. Clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
8. Help transport patients to and from the operating room.
9. Assist with patient monitoring during procedures.
10. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts
