Job title: Sterile Processing Technologist
Shift: 20:00-06:00 | 40 hours per week

Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Technologist is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical instruments and equipment used in healthcare facilities. They play a critical role in preventing the spread of infections and ensuring the safety of patients and healthcare workers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Inspect, clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
2. Assemble instrument trays and surgical kits according to established protocols.
3. Operate and maintain sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
4. Monitor and record sterilization cycles and ensure proper documentation.
5. Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and reorder as needed.
6. Follow infection control protocols and standards to prevent contamination.
7. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and efficient supply of sterile instruments.
8. Provide support during surgical procedures by delivering sterile instruments and equipment to operating rooms.
9. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on best practices in sterile processing.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certification as a Sterile Processing Technologist (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred.
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
4. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices.
7. Prior experience in sterile processing or healthcare setting is a plus.
