Job Title: RN Float, Med Surg
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM 12hr Night 36hr guarantee
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Summary:

The RN Float, Med Surg position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit. The role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to various patient populations and healthcare settings.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assess and evaluate patients' medical conditions

2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic patient care

4. Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions

5. Educate patients and families on health issues and self-care practices

6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

7. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

8. Assist with procedures and treatments as needed

9. Support patients' emotional and psychological needs

10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Current RN license in the state of practice

2. BLS (AHA) certification ACLS (AHA)

3. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
