Job Title: Pediatric Acute R.N.
Job Summary:
As a Pediatric Acute R.N., you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in acute care settings. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the well-being of young patients and monitor their progress throughout treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
2. Monitor and assess the condition of pediatric patients, including vital signs and symptoms.
3. Educate patients and their families on health management and care plans.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
5. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
6. Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times.
7. Participate in emergency response and crisis intervention as needed.
8. Stay up-to-date on pediatric nursing best practices and guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
2. Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
3. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric acute care.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
7. Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards pediatric patients.
8. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
