Job Title: Scrub Technologist
Location: Gardner, MA
Shift: 11PM-7:30AM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
The Scrub Technologist plays a crucial role in the operating room by assisting surgeons during surgical procedures. They are responsible for ensuring all surgical instruments are sterilized and ready for use, setting up the operating room, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain a sterile field during surgeries
- Set up operating room with required equipment and supplies
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and assist as needed
- Keep accurate records of surgical instruments and supplies used
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a surgical technologist program
- Certification as a surgical technologist
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile environment
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
