Job Title: LPN, Long Term Care (LTC)
Location: Greeneville, TN
Shift: Nights 7pm - 7am
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
The LPN in Long Term Care (LTC) plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility. They work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the overall well-being and comfort of residents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
2. Monitor and assess resident's health status and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
3. Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
5. Document resident assessments, care provided, and any significant changes in condition.
6. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
7. Assist in coordinating resident appointments and transportation to medical appointments.
8. Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
2. Current LPN license in the state of practice.
3. CPR certification.
4. Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
