Job Title: Registered Nurse - Long Term Care (RN LTC)

Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to elderly residents with complex medical needs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for each resident. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all residents under your care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' health status and develop care plans accordingly.
2. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
3. Monitor and document residents' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care.
5. Provide education and support to residents and their families on health promotion and disease prevention.
6. Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
8. Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for residents.
9. Adhere to all nursing standards and regulations.
10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Long Term Care setting.
3. BLS certification.
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
7. Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
8. Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
