Shift: 12 hr days 36 hr Guarantee
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans to help patients regain their communication and swallowing abilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conducting assessments to evaluate patients' speech and language abilities.
2. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
3. Providing therapy to improve patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
4. Monitoring and documenting patients' progress throughout the course of treatment.
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
6. Providing education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies.
7. Participating in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and treatment goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
2. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
3. Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
4. Experience working with geriatric populations in a SNF setting preferred.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
7. Knowledge of current evidence-based practices in speech therapy.
