Job Title: CCU/PCU Registered Nurse
Location: Midland, TX
Shift: Days (36 guaranteed)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
The CCU/PCU Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU). They monitor patient conditions, administer medications, collaborate with healthcare team members, and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess patient conditions in the CCU/PCU.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
4. Perform procedures such as intubation, central line insertions, and ventilator management.
5. Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment options.
6. Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records.
7. Evaluate and revise patient care plans as necessary.
8. Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
9. Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.
10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS and ACLS certification.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing preferred.
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Proficiency in electronic health records.
8. Flexibility to work day, night, and weekend shifts as needed.
9. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing preferred.
