Job Title: Critical Care/Float Nurse
Location: Mt Vernon, WA
Shift: Night Shift: 7pm-7:30am 36 Hours Guaranteed
Duration 13 weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care/Float Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in various departments and units, as needed. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and excellent clinical skills to ensure the highest quality patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in a variety of settings, including ICU, ER, and other units as needed
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition promptly
- Administer medications, interventions, and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts and float between units as needed
