Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will be responsible for providing high-quality, specialized nursing care to critically ill patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families during their stay in the ICU.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and monitoring the condition of critically ill patients
2. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
3. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
4. Educating patients and their families on their condition and treatment options
5. Providing emotional support and guidance to patients and their families
6. Ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and functioning
7. Responding to emergencies and providing rapid, effective interventions
8. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
9. Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices in critical care nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
3. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting
5. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
9. Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals
