Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing critical care to patients in emergency situations, assessing their conditions, and administering appropriate treatments. This position requires quick thinking, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and triaging patients in the Emergency Department
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes in condition
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to create and implement care plans
- Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Documenting patient care accurately and in a timely manner
- Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- 2+ years of experience working in an Emergency Department setting
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
