Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Post Partum team. The ideal candidate will provide care and support to new mothers and their newborns during the postpartum period. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of families and assist in the transition to parenthood.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide care and education to new mothers on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, newborn care, and emotional support
- Monitor mothers and babies for any signs of complications or health concerns
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for mothers and newborns
- Document patient care and update medical records accurately
- Provide emotional support and guidance to new parents as they adjust to their new roles
- Assist with breastfeeding support and education
- Educate patients on postpartum self-care and follow-up care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Previous experience in postpartum nursing or labor and delivery
- BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient care
- Knowledge of postpartum care and newborn care best practices
