Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Location- Mt Vernon, WA 98273
Contract duration- 13 Weeks
Hours-10 hours
Shift-4x10’s, variable start time, floating as needed, call required
Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr
The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) will be responsible for providing quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The OR RN will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of patients in the operating room.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing the patient's condition before surgery and administering medications as needed.
2. Assisting the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, performing counts, and maintaining a sterile field.
3. Monitoring the patient's vital signs and responding to any changes in condition.
4. Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans for each patient.
5. Educating patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.
6. Documenting patient care accurately and thoroughly in medical records.
7. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment in the operating room.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in Washington State.
2. BLS and ACLS certification.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
6. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
