Pay Rate: $50-$55/hr
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) State Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting on-site evaluations of healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with state regulations and guidelines. You will assess the quality of care provided to residents, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for corrective action. Your role is crucial in maintaining high standards of care and safety for all patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct comprehensive surveys of healthcare facilities to assess compliance with state regulations.
2. Review medical records, observe patient care practices, and interview staff to gather information.
3. Evaluate infection control practices, medication management, and resident safety protocols.
4. Identify deficiencies in care delivery and document findings accurately.
5. Collaborate with facility staff to develop corrective action plans and monitor progress.
6. Provide education and guidance to healthcare providers on best practices and regulatory requirements.
7. Maintain accurate survey reports and documentation.
8. Stay current on state regulations and industry trends.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
3. Strong knowledge of state regulations and nursing standards.
4. Excellent observational and communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
6. Proficient in computer skills and data management.
7. Detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
8. Flexibility to travel to different healthcare facilities.
