Job Title: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse (PACU)
Job Summary:
As a Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse, you will be responsible for providing care and monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia after surgery. You will assess the patient’s condition, provide post-operative care, and monitor vital signs to ensure a safe and smooth recovery process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing patients’ post-operative conditions and monitoring vital signs
2. Administering medication and managing pain control
3. Monitoring patients’ respiratory status and airway management
4. Providing emotional support to patients and their families
5. Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition from the operating room to the PACU
6. Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) license
2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
3. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a PACU or critical care setting
4. BLS and ACLS certifications
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
7. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
