Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced X-Ray Technician to join our team in Vail, CO. As an X-Ray Tech, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations, operating X-ray equipment, and ensuring the quality of images produced. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.
- Position patients properly to obtain the best images while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment in accordance with safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Review imaging results to ensure quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide patient care.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and safety standards related to radiation exposure and patient care.
- Provide assistance and support to patients throughout the imaging process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with advances in medical imaging technology and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent in radiologic technology from an accredited program.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
- State licensure or certification as required by the state of Colorado.
- Prior experience working as an X-Ray Technician in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in operating X-ray equipment and related technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and patient needs.
